What We Do ?

What We Do

- Group Formation

MSKS organizes scattered target groups—100 % poor and underprivileged people—into cohesive groups. Through regular savings and credit, these groups build institutions that create jobs and raise income, with a strong emphasis on women’s participation.

- Credit Program

The organisation provides credit and technical support for income‑generating activities such as poultry, livestock, fish culture, small trading, cow and goat rearing and food processing. Loans range from Tk. 5 000 to Tk. 50 000 with a service charge of 15 % and a recovery rate of 98 %.

- Primary Health Care & Nutrition Program

MSKS offers preventive and curative health services to underprivileged rural people, improving life expectancy and health status while reducing family medical costs. Mothers learn to prepare nutritious food and can access credit to pay for it.

- Training Program & Farmer Skill Development

Training brings socio‑economic change by building knowledge and skills for both staff and beneficiaries. Human‑development and skills training help beneficiaries improve their lives. MSKS’s farmer skill development activities further support smallholders by teaching production of high‑value crops, homestead gardening, nursery management, and disaster resilience.

- Education & Literacy Program

MSKS provides non‑formal primary education for children of poor families and literacy classes for adults to raise awareness and prevent exploitation. It also ensures that out‑of‑school children aged 8–14 get a second chance at education, with quality training and modern, moral instruction at the “Diamond View School”.

- Human Rights Program

Through workshops, seminars and national and international day observances, MSKS promotes human rights and works to enforce laws protecting vulnerable people. The program stresses that human rights involve the freedom to express, create and shape one’s destiny.

- Water & Sanitation Program

Many local families use unsafe water and lack proper sanitation. MSKS promotes sanitary latrine use and safe drinking water, raises awareness about arsenic and health hazards, and produces low‑cost latrines for community use.

- Disability & Development Program

MSKS provides motivation and technical assistance for disability support and development. Group members are encouraged to focus on disability rights, and the organisation produces affordable assistive‑device materials for community distribution.

- Good Governance & Civil Society Program

By launching motivation and technical support initiatives, MSKS helps target groups understand and practise good governance and civil‑society engagement. Group members participate in programs that introduce good governance principles in their communities.

- Disaster Prevention & Management Program

This program educates communities about disaster preparedness and management. It is implemented jointly with target groups and donors to ensure proper prevention measures and community resilience.

- Women and Child Trafficking Prevention

Located near a border, Chapainawabganj faces trafficking threats. MSKS concentrates on preventing trafficking of women and children by raising mass awareness and offering legal aid support.

- Women Empowerment

The organisation helps women overcome social barriers by providing programs that promote organizing, voice‑raising, access to resources, bargaining power and participation in decision‑making.

- Poultry Program

MSKS offers technical assistance for poultry and livestock raising. Group members learn to produce low‑cost poultry feed, sometimes using straw for fuel, which supports rural families.

- Fisheries Program

To encourage fish farming, MSKS demonstrates cultivation and harvesting techniques. Group members observe and receive practical training for joint pond fishery, helping them adopt low‑cost aquaculture.

- Forestry & Nursery Program

The organisation trains nursery farmers and promotes home‑based fruit and timber planting. More than 300 farmers have planted around 30 000 saplings in their homesteads.

- Maternal & Child Health Program

Under the Working Lactating Mother Assistance Fund, MSKS provides comprehensive health care for pregnant women and lactating mothers. The program uses voucher schemes and maternity allowances to ensure nutrition and safe childbirth, supporting poor rural and urban mothers.
